Spring higher

The look on her face was one of pure joy. Her hair lifted and fell as she contagiously laughed. Gravity was doing its work.

She and her father were on the trampoline enjoying what seemed like the first day of spring after a cold, wet winter.

Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 18:3.

I noticed each of his movements amplified hers. At the slightest bend of his knee, she sprung into the air.

Lent is the season to reflect on our rising and our falling. Like a trampoline, our foundation can feel uncertain as we bounce around in the winter of life. But it gives me hope to know that each of Your movements, no matter how small, make me

spring higher.
